By wisdom a house is built, and by understanding it is established; by knowledge the rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant riches.

And just like that...we are in!!!

3 years ago we both seperately raced to the real estate office in Bacchus Marsh between work, hoping to get there before it closed, to sign the papers for Lot 7 Princes St Greendale. We were off to New Zealand for a sneaky getaway and wanted to close the deal before we went.....little did we know that 'a great adventure was about to begin!' We didn't just set about building a house, but got to work planning a lifestyle that we wanted to share with our beautiful families, friends and one day our very own little Duncs! Signing that dotted line was just the beginning..

3 years later and we now realise that we have only scratched the surface of the adventure on our little patch of green! The title is true.. we have finally finished building our amazing home, but we have so much more to do on our little patch and come springtime, we are so looking forward to rolling up our sleeves and getting dirty...building fences, making veggie patches and investing in some egg layers!!

Our house adventure has bought tears and joy and amidst it all...a beautiful baby boy who brings us more joy and adventure than we could ever have imagined (not all of his adventures are joyous by the way:))  We have grown in so many ways and learned valuable lessons about life, each other and the world that is.... 'tradies'...

Yes, we have had our shiraz by our fire, we have showered whilst looking at the amazing view..and I have finally cooked a meal on my Richmond cooker! But none of it means a thing if we don't do it for God's glory! He is the one who has been so gracious and loving and we are not only thankful for the beautiful home, which we can now share with others, but for every provision He gives us... We are in awe of his grace!

For some of you, this might be the end of the road, for others it will be a place to check in when you are bored (no names- you know who you are ;)...this is merely a way for me to keep a log of how our little patch of green has given us not just a house, but a home and a lifestyle so different to where we were heading. I want this to be a blog to inspire others to do what we have done- don't let the craziness of life get in the way of taking that first step to your own adventure!
